3 Female Zee Tamil TV Show Characters Who Are Shown To Be Stronger Than Their Husbands

For many years, we’ve been watching shows that portray women as the weaker section. We have mostly witnessed them playing a submissive female character, who has no identity of their own or have no say in a decision taken in the family. However, gone are the days when women were only offered such roles. Times have changed and we are seeing a lot of strong, powerful and fearless female characters on TV lately.

Zee Tamil, too, has three such shows that have portrayed female characters to be much stronger than their husbands. From Sembaruthi’s Akhilandeshwari to Oru Oorula Oru Rajakumari’s Rasathi, we have three such characters who have reminded us to stand up for what we want, fight our foes fiercely, be independent and brave, among others.

Akhilandeshwari – Sembaruthi

Akhilandeshwari is a no-nonsense person; She is an entrepreneur and also the rock of her family. Right from making decisions to being independent, confident and brave, she makes sure to inspire all the women, who look or up to her. It won’t be wrong to say that Akhila is a model of both motherhood and career woman. Everytime someone in the family is in trouble, they all seek out Akhila for solutions.  Meanwhile, Purushothaman is calm, composed and happy with his wife’s success. Neither is he jealous of Akhila nor does he have any ego issues seeing his successful wife.

Sathya – Sathya

Inside, Sathya is a gooey marshmallow but on the outside, she is a tough-talking, courageous and free-spirited tomboyish girl, who will go any extent to save and protect her family. Not only is she patient and mature but also independent and fearless. On the other hand, Prabhu is a fun-loving personality. However, he is a bit childish but Sathya’s maturity balances the relationship. Also, Sathya is physically and mentally stronger than Prabhu and her fight with the goons to save her husband’s life as well as well as going to jail to protect her husband is proof.

Rasathi – Oru Oorla Oru Rajakumari

A woman stands out not because of her beauty or the physical appearance but her boldness, bravery, confidence and her strong-will, among others. And Rasathi is the perfect example of the same. Not only she is educated, smart, sweet, loving, and energetic, but also someone who is a fighter. She fights her battles on her own and needs no man to do that for her. As we know, Rasathi has always been discriminated against for being overweight, however, nothing has stopped her from living the life she deserves.

Meanwhile, Iniyan is someone, who is insecure, lacks confidence, and lacks the ability to make decisions on his own. However, his character surely has grown over the years. Iniyan, who was a bit narrow-minded, was unable to love Rasathi as he only saw her flaws but eventually, he shows a sense of understanding and begins to accept and love Rasathi for who she is.

Well, women are powerful, brave, and remarkably strong, period! No matter what society has told us throughout our lives, it isn’t true in real life. And since it is important to see these strong and bold women in our media too, Zee Tamil made sure to highlight the strength and perseverance of women from all walks of life.
