But first, watch the latest episode here:

1. Protesting against caste discrimination

When Bhima Bai and Ramji Sakpal had gone out of the village for the former’s medical treatment, Bhimrao’s house was under threat. Pandit Gyani and his men arrived to demolish it because Bhimrao and his family were untouchables. To protest against their hypocrisy and caste discrimination, Bhim lay down at the entrance as the last resort. Bhim’s sibling also accompanied him in the act with tears in their eyes!

2. Bhima Bai's medical treatment

As Bhimrao’s family was poor and belonged to a lower caste, they were denied of medical facilities in the village. Bhima Bai was diagnosed with a deadly disease after having symptoms like an unbearable splitting headache. The vaidya ji suggested that Bhima Bai should go to Mumbai for treatment. But Bhimrao learns that her mother had been hiding her illness from them because they have no money. It breaks Bhimrao to realise that he is helpless!

3. Breaking the rules of untouchability

Tying a stick broom (jhadu) around the waist and wearing an earthen pot (matka) around the neck was the standard uniform of untouchables back in the day. Bhimrao was strictly against it and denied to wear it. One day, he went into their dwelling and broke all the pots. He then encouraged the villagers to burn the brooms and not conform to be exploited under the upper caste’s feet!

4. Standing up for girls' and women's education

Bhimrao’s sister Tulsa and Manjula were not allowed to go to school like boys. Sonaar Seth and Pandit Gyani were the culprits behind making their life hell just because they wanted to seek literacy. Ramji Sakpal dreamt of educating their children no matter the obstacles. Bhimrao stood with his father and sisters during a sports competition which would determine their right to study!

5. Begging for justice and equality

Bhimrao’s father was behind bars because of Sonaar Seth’s cruel conspiracy. He was arrested for burying a lady’s dead body lying on the road, who belonged to an upper caste. At court, Bhimrao had to beg the barrister to fight his case and free Ramji for his innocence. But he was denied justice and equality until he got a petition signed by the villages and surrendered a heavy fee in return!
