Chef Sanjeev Kapoor prepared drinks in the Zee TV show Khana Khazana

Summers have arrived already and the heatwave has now started hitting everyone. People are getting affected by the heat despite staying indoors. Dehydration is one of the most common problems to happen during the summer. The best way to deal with dehydration is to consume adequate fluids and keep energy levels up. The drinks help a person to keep their body cool and deal with the heatwave in a better way. Here we have a list of summer coolers made by famous chef Sanjeev Kapoor that one should try in this summer to stay cool. Chef Sanjeev Kapoor prepared the drinks in the Zee TV show Khana Khazana. Take a look at the list:

1. Twisted Lime Juice

This is a fusion drink that includes the traditional recipe.

Ingredients:

Lemons 4
Green chilli 1
Sea salt to taste
Black salt (kala namak) to taste
Fresh mint leaves 10-12
Powdered sugar 2 tablespoons
Ice cubes as required
Fresh mint sprigs 4
Soda as required

Method:

To prepare the drink, squeeze the lemons into a glass. Put the lemon pieces in it. Add green chilli, sea salt, black salt, mint leaves and crush them. Then add powdered sugar, a cup of water and mix well after adding ice cubes. Strain it and add soda to it.

2. Mix-fruit and carrot juice

Ingredients:

Carrots 2 medium
Sweet lime 2 medium
Muskmelon 1/2
Apple 1 medium
Pomegranate seeds 1/4 cup
Fresh mint leaves a few sprigs

Method:

To prepare this juice, scrape the carrots and cut them into pieces. Peel the sweet lime, melon, apple, and chop them. Blend the ingredients in the mixer and add pomegranate seeds and pears. Add mint leaves while serving the juice.

3. Coconut Cooler drink

Yet another fusion drink is prepared by Masterchef Sanjeev Kapoor who brings a new twist to the traditional recipe.

Ingredients:

Fresh grapefruit juice 1 litre
Pineapple juice 1 litre
Coconut cream 225 grams

Method:

Mix grapefruit and pineapple juice and add fresh coconut cream into it. Serve chilled.

4. Melon Pudina Cocktail

Ingredients:

Papaya 1 medium
Jaljeera powder 1 1/2 tablespoons
Roasted cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon + for garnishing
Black salt 1/2 teaspoon
Dried mango powder (amchur) 1/2 teaspoon
Ice cubes 10-12
Fresh mint leaves 1 cup
Sugar syrup 3 tablespoons
Juice of 1 lemon
Fresh mint sprigs for garnishing
Rose syrup for garnishing

Method:

To prepare the drink, peel papaya, chop it, and put the pieces into a mixer. Add jaljeera powder, roasted cumin powder, black salt, dried mango powder, ice cubes, mint leaves, sugar syrup, and lemon juice, and blend well. Pour the drink and garnish with mint sprigs. Add rose syrup on the edges of the glasses, sprinkle some roasted cumin powder, and serve chilled.

5. Kala Khatta Slush

This recipe for a delicious Kala Khatta Slush serves four people.

Ingredients:

Kala khatta syrup 16 tablespoons
Ice cubes 10-12
Lemon juice 1/2 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Black salt to sprinkle
Fresh mint sprigs to garnish

Method:

To prepare this slush,  add ice cubes, lemon juice, and salt to a mixer jar and blend well. While serving, add black salt and pour kala khatta syrup and garnish with mint sprigs.
