Zee Marathi’s chat show Kanala Khada hosted by Sanjay Mone was immensely popular and saw appearances by many celebrity guests who spilled the beans and how! The show’s format included celebrities making interesting revelations about themselves and sharing their journey. Many stars including Saie Tamhankar, Tejashri Pradhan and Sonalee Kulkarni have shared their tales on the show, that ended last year. But the most interesting and fun episode was the one starring the power couple Ashok and Nivedita Saraf. While Ashok has worked in several television shows and films, Nivedita comes mainly from a theatre background and is currently seen as Asawari on Zee Marathi’s hit show Agga Bai Sasubai.

In this episode, Ashok and Nivedita indulged in fun talks and shared their struggle and memories. Nivedita revealed that she has a problem with Ashok’s over punctuality. She said that the actor takes punctuality so seriously that once, the couple arrived at a marriage function before the entrance of the bride and groom!

Nivedita’s son revealed that once when they went to a bookshop and the surroundings were quiet, Nivedita decided to break the silence qby whistling! Nivedita wanted to call out to her son who was a few feet away from her. But she felt that the silence was overbearing and she could whistle under her breath to make him hear her. But her whistling sound echoed in the room and everyone turned to look at them! Awkward much?

Ashok revealed that Nivedita wanted to show off her driving skills and hence, asked him to go on a drive with her. While on the road, Nivedita looked at him as he was nervously chewing and biting his nails and she smirked saying, “You don’t think I can drive?” As soon as she finished her sentence, there was a rumbling noise. The couple realised that their vehicle was on the divider between the road!

Nivedita revealed that she stood third in the Vasai-Virar marathon! She said that age is just a number and one should be determined to work out and remain fit.

Sanjay asked Ashok how he managed to portray each of his characters so well and with such finesse. The actor revealed that he is like the horse in a race, he only focuses on his character and the role. He dwells upon making it likable and feels like he must do complete justice to his work.
