The father-son duo are reunited after years and the reunion brings back many fond memories but also makes the son feel helpless for not being able to help cure his father’s illness.

Sampradan is a 1999 Bengali drama film directed by Bappaditya Bandopadhyay, starring Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Indrani, Joy Sengupta and Anusuya Majumdar. The plot is about Lipika, a young woman who comes from a broken family following the separation of her parents. However, this fact drives a wedge in her wedding plans to marry her lover Sudip, as society stigmatises the concept of separation and divorce. What happens to Lipika and Sudip?
