Cars! One of the most incredible machines ever made. They have always been an item of fascination for many of us. Krishnakoli’s Nikhil Choudhury, aka actor Neel Bhattacharya, is a true fan when it comes to cars. His love towards these mean machines is quite clear with his recent Instagram pos where the Krishnakoli star is seen posing beside a red Triumph Spitfire 4 Mk2 1967 model car. When it comes to vintage car rallies, the first name that pops up is the VCCFI annual rally. This rally is known to feature some of the rarest vintage cars from all around the city. The rally, which is hosted in Mumbai, starts from Worli and then moves across the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, to Bandra Kurla Complex.

From a 1932 Baby Austin Tourer to Lord Mountbatten’s special Ford V8, the rally conducted by the Auto Association of Bengal recently, showcased some of the finest vintage cars. A total of 50 cars – 25 vintage and 25 classic – took part in the rally which started from the Eastern Metropolitan Club.

Among the most popular car rallies, this is held both in New Delhi and Kolkata every winter. It is the oldest and continuously-run event in the subcontinent. It started in 1964 and celebrated its 50th year in Kolkata last year.

It is known to be Asia’s most premium vintage car event. It is flagged off from the Gateway of India in New Delhi and the cars drive down all the way to Gurgaon. The whose who of the capital and surroundings come down to attend with a variety of vintage cards like the 1964 half Mustang Convertible, Pre and Post-war Rolls Royce, 1951 MG TD and more.

This special car rally held in Jaipur has completed 21 editions. It is held at the historic Jal Mahal Palace. Spectators are allowed to view all cars participating in the rally one day prior to the day of the event. The show features a wide range of cars from all around the city.
