Punar Vivaah Is All About Giving Life A Second Chance. Here's Why You Should Watch It Again!

This unconventional love story of Aarti and Yash has been winning hearts ever since its release in 2012. Although it’s nearly a decade since it first reached the audience, the show has proven to be remarkable in its approach towards worries plaguing our society even now. A refreshing setting, along with the sweet chemistry between our protagonists are a few of the many reasons to re-watch this show.

You can watch the first episode here:

1. Sweet chemistry between Yash and Aarti

Gurmeet Choudhary has been a heartthrob for years now. Together with the beautiful Kratika Sengar, these two talented actors have brought on an amazing performance on the silver screen. Although initially Yash and Aarti aren’t too close to each other due to their traumatizing past experiences, with time they start falling for each other.

2. Relatable story line

As opposed to the common ideology for a couple to get married, Punar Vivah is about two individuals coming together for a second marriage in order to take better care and support for their children and family. There’s tension between some members while others have accepted this new family with all their hearts, showing the reality of the time that people need to adjust to a new setting.

3. Focus on strengthening familial bonds

While all the members are independent individuals with their own identity, each person tries their best to stay together as one family, often happily sacrificing their wishes for the well-being of others. The elders also instill family values and respect for the younger ones, trusting them to contribute to their familial bonding.

4. Innocent relationship of children with their new family

Since Yash lost his wife, his daughters Payal and Palak find it very difficult to adjust to Aarti and her son Ansh, whereas Aarti has divorced her husband, so the sudden change in life after shifting to Yash’s home bothers Ansh too. Slowly, the three children try to accept the reality and the new members of their family, questioning everything their young minds are curious about.

5. Radical female empowerment

The daughters-in-law of the Scindia family are well educated and independent. During tough times, they not only stand up for themselves but also manage to bring their orthodox family in touch with the modern outlook on life, and their rights as individuals. The show focuses on topics of female empowerment, and the right of a person to work as per their choice.
