5 Reasons Why Kundali Bhagya’s #PreeRan Remind Us Of Prem-Nisha From Hum Aapke Hai Koun

Kundali Bhagya’s Karan (Dheeraj Dhoopar) and Preeta (Shraddha Arya) are fan-favourite couples as they have gone years bickering and loving each other in equal measure while also leaving fans in awe of their chemistry. Do you remember the 1994 Sooraj Barjatya classic, Hum Aapke Hai Koun? We think that the leads of the film Nisha (Madhuri Dixit) and Prem (Salman Khan) had a very similar relationship to that of Karan and Preeta’s! We’ll tell you why!

The backgrounds of the heroes and heroines are similar

Nisha and Preeta both come from humble backgrounds and are educated and smart women. Both the heroes Prem and Karan belong to richer families which are respectable and are looking for suitable bahus for their families. Both have siblings who are interested in each other as well! Their families are loving but also have some bitter buas and “other women” as well!

Doesn’t start off as love

We know how #PreeRan were first enemies and then slowly became friends and then turned into lovers. Similarly, Nisha doesn’t think much of Prem when they first meet and are is always irked by his presence. They also play pranks on each other and bicker a lot just like how #PreeRan did! Both these relationships are very entertaining and endearing for everyone else to watch!

Their chemistry is visible even when they’re not saying anything and that’s true for #PreeRan as well!

This transitions from frenemies to lovers is very slow and enticing in both these cases. Both couples don’t even realise when they start relying on each other. Both of these couples hid their attraction and love for each other behind their nasty remarks and their nicknames and we think it was damn cute!

All these four characters love their families to death and will do anything to keep them safe and happy. We saw how Karan and Preeta almost risked their lives while trying to stop Rishabh’s marriage to Sherlyn. We also know why Nisha agrees to marry her jijaji for the sake of her niece and Prem agrees to never talk about their love ever again for his brother’s happiness! This is a very common character trait between all these characters!
