‘Pushpa,’ starring Allu Arjun, is one of the year’s most anticipated films. The film, directed by Sukumar, is about red sanders smuggling in Andhra Pradesh’s highlands. The latest buzz in the industry is that the film’s financiers, Mythri Movie Makers, have chosen to split it into two parts. And this rumour has since then been circulating on social media that the filmmakers are planning to split the picture into two segments.
Is ‘Pushpa’ going to be split into two parts?
Ravi Shankar, one of Pushpa’s producers, stated in a recent interview that the film will be released in two parts. “Pushpa’s saga is long, and it’s tough to tell the entire story in less than two and a half hours. As a result, the hero and I, as well as the director, discussed and agreed to split Pushpa into two sections. After we finish the first part, we will begin the second. We’ve completed 10% of Pushpa’s second portion so far,” Ravi Shankar disclosed.

According to the note, the filmmakers have completed 80% of the first part’s filming. Due to the length of the plot, the filmmakers were reportedly considering releasing the picture in two parts, akin to the Baahubali franchise. According to sources, the editing work is moving quite quickly, and the shoot will resume once the lockout is lifted. In the following days, an official announcement about the project’s development is likely to be made.
Pushpa’s budget and cast
According to reports, prominent Malayalam actor Fahad Faasil has been cast in a pivotal role in the film. There is already speculation that he will appear at the conclusion of the first part. Sukumar is directing Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s first film together, Pushpa. In addition to Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Dhananjay, Sunil, Harish Uthaman, Vennela Kishore, and Anasuya Bharadwaj, the film is expected to be made on a budget of Rs 250 crore. The first installment of this two-part series will hit theatres in October of this year, with the second installment following in the second half of 2022.
Pushpa’s technical crew
The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers brand in collaboration with Muttamsetty Media and is expected to be a rustic furious action drama. The camera is operated by Mirosaw Kuba Broek, the soundtracks are composed by Devi Sri Prasad, and the editor is Karthika Srinivas. Resul Pokutty, who won an Oscar for his work in Slumdog Millionaire, has been tapped to work on ‘Pushpa.’
