1. Lesson learnt from Kumkum Bhagya's Pragya: Family comes first

As we gear up to bid farewell to this decade (2010-2019), let’s take a look at all the Zee TV bahus who imparted invaluable life lessons and more. Pragya from Kumkum Bhagya is the epitome of all things sabhya and sanskaari! The ideal bahu that she is, she never fails to take care of the elders in the family, even if it involves taking dangerous risks. She is the protector and doesn’t step back from her duty at any cost and time.

To jog your memory, Pragya didn’t hesitate to take money from King to save Kiara and left alone to rescue her daughter. In one of the recent episodes, Abhi is hit by a ceiling and it is Pragya who saves him. Such instances only go to prove that Pragya will go to any lengths to save her family.

2. Lesson learnt from Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega's Guddan: Love is love

We have earlier told you how Guddan and Antara are the like Batman and Joker of television. On Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega, Guddan has been through hell and back for her family and her husband AJ. She even accepted Alisha, AJ’s daughter from his first marriage with Antara. Interestingly, Alisha probably is around the same age as Guddan is. She is India’s youngest mother-in-law but that doesn’t deter her from discharging her duties as the daughter-in-law. From making aamras in a washing machine to saving AJ from all the possible obstacles, Guddan just doesn’t back down.

Moreover, she never lets the age gap come in the way of her love story!

3. Lesson learnt from Pavitra Rishta's Archana: Gratitude is the only attitude

Archana’s mother-in-law made her life a living hell in Zee TV show Pavitra Rishta. However, no matter how many times Savita kicked her out of the house, insulted her and tried to separate her from Manav, the former only had love and respect for Savita. Now, if that doesn’t make her a patient and wise bahu, we don’t know what does! Besides, eventually Savita does warm up to Archana, so it was all worth it we’d say. From Archana, we learn to be humble. No matter how bad things are, she never forgot to stay kind.

4. Lesson learnt from Jodha Akbar's Jodha: Don't lose yourself in a relationship

Jodha and Akbar’s marriage was more of a political alliance than anything else. But what started as a compromise soon turned into one of the greatest love stories on the show Jodha Akbar. Jodha not only adapted and accepted Akbar’s way of living but also loved and respected his family like her own. However, what always remained intact is Jodha’s self-worth. Yes, she loved Akbar with all her heart but she never let him take her for granted.

5. Lesson learnt from Ishq Subhan Allah's Zara: In a relationship, be equals

Wasn’t Zara and Ayesha’s duo on Ishq Subhan Allah the sweetest daughter-in-law and mother-in-law duo? Even in her last moments, all Ayesha wanted was to see Kabeer and Zara together, and that proves that the latter was a good bahu. Our biggest takeaway from Zara is how she never was afraid to speak her mind and follow her heart even if it wasn’t in agreement with her husband Kabeer. Just because you love someone, doesn’t mean you have to always do as they want you to. Two people in a relationshop should equally shoulder every responsibility and agree to disagree.

6. Lesson learnt from Chhoti Bahu's Radhika: Hope is a good thing, one of the best things

Actress Rubina Dilaik is still remembered for her portrayal of Radhika in the Zee TV show Chhoti Bahu. The series became very popular in countries like Mauritius, West Indies, Romania, USA, Trinidad, Malaysia, Thailand, Uganda and South Africa. Chotti Bahu season rerun was aired on Zee Anmol in India and Zee Lamhe in the UK during 2014 and 2015. Doesn’t that speak volumes of her character’s popularity? Thought as much!

Radhika’s trust in her values was tested time and again in Chhoti Bahu. But despite all that she went through, she never lost hope.

7. Lesson learnt from Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli's Swarn Abha: Be gracious

Suhasi Dhami still enjoys a huge fan following for her stint as SwarnAbha on Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli. The grace and poise with which she handles every hurdle that comes her way post marriage is something we should all try to learn. Bitterness never looked good on anybody and Abha knew it since the beginning! So should you.
