Tu Patang Main Dor‘s Amandeep Singh (Rohit Handa) has become the latest guy from the telly world to find himself on the receiving edge of female fans’ affections. 1. A Real Family Man

The best part about Amandeep is his love for his family. Amandeep can do anything for his family and so can Rohit Handa. Yes, just like the show, Rohit belongs to a huge joint family with 27 members in Jalandhar, Punjab. Rohit has a younger sister who is preparing for UPSC. Rohit loves his family so much that he says during this lockdown, his respect and value for his family has doubled. Rohit strongly believes that only family matters. He believes that no one can care, love, and value you more than your family.

2. Humble Beginnings 

Rohit started his journey with Zee Cinestar Ki Khoj. When he was eliminated in the fifth round despite being in the top 40, he decided to learn the art of acting. He did a two-year Diploma from Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts, Delhi. While completing the diploma, Rohit played an important role in the show IPS Diary. Rohit has been a crucial part of shows like Crime Patrol and Savadhaan India and he has done 25-30 ads with stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Mahinder Singh Dhoni, and Ajay Devgn.

3. Rohit’s First Audition

Apart from Zee Cinestar Ki Khoj, while pursuing his Diploma, Rohit got a call from his college friend for an audition for DD National’s IPS Diary. Rohit got selected and that’s how his journey began.

4. Rohit’s Inspiration

The biggest inspiration for Rohit is his cousin, actor Sahil Singh Sethi. When he was eliminated from ZEE Cinestar Ki Khoj, Sahil encouraged him to learn acting. Apart from his cousin, he is heavily inspired by Om Puri, Irrfan Khan, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Saurabh Shukla, and Manoj Bajpayee.

5. Rohit, The Party Person

Our Amandeep is a party animal and he loves to spend at least two Saturdays a month partying and hitting the disco. During the show’s shoots, Rohit and other actors often party in their guesthouse. Rohit is the centre of attraction at these parties!

6. The Off-Screen Connection Of Amandeep and Zarina

Zarina (Chetna Singh) is a college junior of Amandeep’s. They both are from DAV College, Jalandhar. Rohit always wanted to become an actor, but he had to suffer unfair political schemes at the hands of his senior in the college’s theatre group, which is why he had to leave the group. Rohit and Chetna had to face these similar situations and it’s brought them closer than ever!

7. The Studious Boy

Rohit has always been good at studies. He was Head Boy and a topper in his school. Even in college, Rohit used to be in the first division.
