Though she is known by her screen name Gehana Vasisth, the actor, who stars in the ZEE5 Original Series N.E.R.D., is actually named Vandana Tiwari. In N.E.R.D., she plays the role of a 28-year-old who comes from a troubled family and meets the lead character, Hasvanth, when her brother attacks him thinking him to be someone else.

While she hails from Chirimiri in Chattisgarh, Gehana did her schooling from her hometown and then from Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh.

Did you know that this girl is actually an engineer? Oh yes! Gehana completed a degree in computer engineering from All Saints College of Engineering in Bhopal.

She started modelling right after completing her studies and worked for quite a few renowned brands. She has done more than 70 advertisements, in fact.

The glam girl won the Miss Asia Bikini contest in 2012. Guess what? Gehana polled the maximum number of votes in this online contest.

Gehana first began anchoring for a national channel and later went on to do lead roles in Hindi TV shows. She has also worked as a VJ for a music channel and was an anchor for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 for a news channel along with ex cricketers Atul Wassan and Yuvraj Singh’s father Yograj Singh.

Gehana is no stranger to controversies either. This former bikini model had done a special shoot in her birthday suit to raise awareness about potholes in Mumbai and had promised to pose in a similar fashion for her fans provided India won the gold medal in the Olympics.
