To be precise, Salman Khan’s cop characters are a blend of bold, macho, and witty personalities. From their heroic entries to them charging against the wrong, these fictitious cops and their life stories were intriguing. And Salman Khan’s top-notch performance did justice to these ‘ triumphs of good over evil’ dramas. While these characters still remain to be the fan-favourites, there’ll be soon a new entrant in the upcoming film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai.
So, here’s taking a look at all the 7 cop characters that Salman Khan nailed perfectly.
Radhe (Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai)
Salman Khan will be reviving his most popular character from Wanted, Rajveer Shekhawat aka Radhe for the upcoming project Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. Though the film is yet to be released, the glimpses from the trailer have already kept us rooted in Radhe’s story. We can say that Radhe embodies a next-door charming young man. However, it’s his professional life that’ll present the audience with his bold side.
Radhe has his own ways to deal with the wrong ones. It would be interesting to witness his story.
Suraj Prakash (Auzaar)
In the 1999 classic action-drama, Salman Khan plays a CBI officer Suraj Prakash. Suraj is assigned a mission to investigate a crime lord and his illegal business. Problems arise when he realizes that the gangster is his best friend’s father. However, Suraj deals with it quite maturely and confronts his best friend with the truth. This cop character of Salman is the most humanized one on the list.Â
A remarkable act by Salman does justice to this well-written character.
Arjun Ranawat (Garv)
In Garv, Salman Khan plays an honest police officer Arjun Ranawat who gets trapped in the corrupt system. Arjun decides to fight back peacefully but fails several times. Further, like the criminals, he takes the violent way to treat them perfectly. And that’s where his real journey begins. There are many emotional scenes that are perfectly essayed by Salman.Â
Moreover, Arjun Ranawat perfectly fits as the pre-Dabangg avatar of Salman Khan.
Chulbul Pandey (Dabangg)
The most entertaining cop on the list ought to be Chulbul Pandey from the Dabangg series. From his funny one-liners to epic comebacks, Chulbul Pandey is one of the most loved cops of Indian Cinema. Whether you love him fighting against the goons or his romantic andaaz with Rajjo, Chulbul has that charming and bold cop-like personality. Also, Salman Khan’s expressive act as Pandey is the favourite of the masses.
Antim
Well, nothing more about the forthcoming project Antim is revealed yet. However, Salman Khan will be playing a Sikh cop in this film directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. The first look of the film was released a while ago and it lives up to Salman Khan’s trademark macho avatar. And we can say that the actor will be yet again treating his fans with another noteworthy character.
Rajveer Shekhawat (Wanted )
The climax scene in Wanted still remains to be one of the widely appreciated plot twists in Bollywood. While we believed that Salman’s character Radhe is a local goon with a kind heart, it was in the climax that we realized he was an ‘undercover cop’ on a mission. Donning his police uniform, Salman Khan emerged as Rajveer Shekhawat in the climax.
The fight sequence in the climax still gives the fans a thrilling experience. Salman’s great performance deserves to be appreciated.
Devi Laal Singh (Kick)
The comical resolution to the entertaining action-flick Kick would not have been any better. After the climax, we see officer Himanshu (Randeep Hooda) getting detached from the ‘Devil’ case. And his superiors had appointed a commendable cop to catch Devil, who is none other than Devi Laal (Salman Khan) himself. Though Salman did not play a cop in the film, it becomes one in the end.
