Happu Ki Ultan Paltan has managed to grab the viewers attention very well. The show which was known to be a spin-off the popular show Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain has managed to make its own place in the TV industry. As a result, it now stands at the second top viewed show on And TV. Recently, we saw how Yogesh Tripathi, who essays Happu Singh in the show, has credited the success to his team.

One of the major reasons for the show to become a hit is also the Saas-Bahu Jodi of Amma and Rajesh. It is not something that you see on TV every day as both the characters share a bittersweet relationship and keep on competing with each other. With this thought, we decided to share a few recent competitions between the Saas-Bahu that were totally hilarious. Take a look.

Happu Singh is always seen trying to balance between his wife and his mother but often ends up in a situation like one of these. In the first episode of the show, we saw how Amma wanted to call her brother Atbir as a guest but Rajesh wanted to call her mother Avadhesh. Both of them try to take Happu on their side and call their relative. After a lot of drama, this problem gets sorted when both Atbir and Avadhesh inform Amma and Rajesh respectively that won’t be able to come as they have some urgent work.

One fine day, Amma gets a dream where she sees herself on a boat with Rajesh and Happu. Suddenly the boat starts sinking and Happu is able to save only one. Just then Amma wakes up and gets scared. This initiates a new competition in the house. She asks him if this happens for real then whom will he save. Happu tells her that he will save her. Rajesh comes to know about it and even she asks him the same question. He and Beni plan to create a situation where Happu is ready to sacrifice himself and prove his loyalty to Amma and Rajesh both at the same time (Well played, Happu).

Here is a situation when Happu was about to run away from the house but his luck saved him. Kamlesh is a person who has all the updates about the Kanpur city. One day he comes to Kate and Malaika’s bedroom and tells her that there is a dance competition in the city and whichever couple wins it will get the prize money of a lakh rupees. Hearing this, Rajesh decides to participate in the competition with Happu but the problem starts when Amma also wants to take part in it. Because Khodilal is no more alive, she asks Happu to become her partner. This creates a lot of mess and finally when they are unable to think of Happu’s partner, Kamlesh comes with the news that the competition has been cancelled.

Having a Daroga as a son and a husband makes both Amma and Rajesh proud. They are often seen bragging about Happu Singh outside the house, but at home they take him very lightly. In one such incident, Happu was confused whom should he support as the complainant was the relative of Amma and the defendant was the friend of Rajesh. He thought of sorting it out personally by calling them at home but this made the situation worse as Amma and Rajesh started fighting because of them. In the end, both the relatives sorted their matter on their own and seeing them Amma and Rajesh both regretted things they said to each other.

This might be the most popular episode as this is something every Saas-Bahu will relate to. Beni’s Mausi Nargis comes to meet Amma and tells her that she should keep a check on Happu and not allow him to do the household work. On the other hand, Rajesh’s friend Karishma comes home and tells her to make Happu do the household work or else he will be out of control. Confused with this situation, Happu gets a suggestion from Beni that if he gets injured for real then both the ladies will stop believing their friends. After getting injured, he comes to know that the argument between Amma and Rajesh has already been solved. This makes him repent his decision.

Hrithik’s teacher comes home to complain about his violent behaviour in his class. Happu tells to Amma and Rajesh to control their anger as it is affecting the children. This becomes the reason for another competition as Amma and Rajesh start fighting over being short tempered. To stop this madness, Happu Singh with the help of doctor Chanchal Udas gives them laughing pills but both the ladies continue the fight. He then decides to act as if he is angry and seeing his anger, Amma and Rajesh both keep silent and the problem gets sorted.

Can you imagine someone fighting over being humorous? If yes, then you’ll love this episode of Happu Ki Ultan Paltan. One fine day when everyone is having dinner, Rajesh gives a witty reply to Happu as she always does. Amma jumps on the bandwagon by cracking another joke. Both Amma and Rajesh continue this for a few days and this turns into a competition. They ask Happu to decide who is the wittiest in the house. Happu tries to balance between both of them by laughing on their jokes but later he realises that he cannot handle it anymore. He comes home and decides to bluntly tell Amma and Rajesh about them not having a sense of humour at all. Surprisingly for the first time, Amma and Rajesh like the fact that Happu was honest with them.

When Beni’s friend Puppi Lehri hears Rajesh’s voice while singing, he gives her an opportunity to sing in his upcoming song. While everyone is happy and Rajesh is practising her singing skills, Amma tells her that she needs to practice more. Hearing this, Rajesh gets offended and asks Amma indirectly to prove her talent by giving the same audition. Now, Happu and the other family members are facing problems because both ladies have given up doing the household chores and are only practising for the audition.
