83 is the recent cricket based film that starred Ranveer Singh essaying the role of Indian cricketer Kapil Dev. In the film, Deepika Padukone stepped into the shoes of the cricketer’s wife Romi. It was for the first time after their marriage that Ranveer and Deepika shared the screen space together and just like previous films they rocked on the screen this time as well.

The film directed by Kabir Khan revolved around the success of the Indian cricket team in the world cup match that was held in the year 1983. The film hit the large screens on December 24, 2021, and showed slow progress at the box-office right from the first day of its release.
