83: Ranveer Singh Starrer Cricket Biopic Passes With A ‘U’ Certificate And These Number Of Cuts By The Censor Board – DEETS INSIDE 

Kabir Khan’s directorial film 83 is all set to get released in two weeks on 24th December. Just before the movie’s release, the movie has passed with a U certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Not only this the film has passed out with zero cuts by the board which is a great achievement for the makers.

Now that the film has received a U certificate from the board, a source close to the makers revealed that the makers have built up the film as it is the real story. Even the fight scenes in the promo are not violent in terms of visuals and no inappropriate jokes or adult scenes in the film. The film is a complete family entertainer and that was the intention of the makers.

The Censor Board handed over the certificate to the makers of 83 on 13th December and as per the Censor Board Certification, the duration of the film is nearly 2 hours and 43 minutes long.

Ranveer Singh starrer sports biopic reminisces the 83 world cup story, the film also casts Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Dhairya Karwa, R Badree, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Addinath Kothare, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu and Pankaj Tripathi in 83. The film also stars Deepika Padukone as Romi Dev (Kapil Dev’s wife). Interestingly, Deepika Padukone will be portraying the character of the reel wife of Ranveer Singh in the film.

Produced by Kabir Khan, Deepika Padukone, Vishnu Vardhan Induri, Sajid Nadiadwala, Reliance Entertainment, and Phantom Films, 83 will be also releasing in in Malayalam and Kannada, respectively, by Prithviraj’s production house and Kichcha Sudeepa’s Shalini Arts and also in Tamil and Telugu by Kamal Haasan’s Raajkamal Films International and Akkineni Nagarjuna’s Annapurna Studios.

Apart from 83, Ranveer Singh will be soon seen in Yash Raj Film’s Jayeshbhai Jordaar, which is slated to be released on 25th February 2022. The actor has also wrapped his shoot for Karan Johar’s directorial comeback film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani along with Alia Bhatt.
