83 Teaser Out: Ranveer Singh And Deepika Padukone Share First Glimpses Of Upcoming Cricket Biopic; Trailer Release Date Out

’83 is the upcoming film starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in the lead role. It is the cricket period biopic directed by Kabir Khan. The film features Ranveer Singh as the iconic cricketer Kapil Dev. ’83 is all set to get a theatrical release on December 24, 2021. Deepika Padukone has shared the teaser of the film on her social media account.

Sharing the teaser of the film on Instagram the actress wrote that it is the story behind India’s greatest victory! She also added that ‘83’ is releasing in cinemas on December 24, 2021. The film will release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam languages. The trailer of the film will be out on November 30, 2021.

The teaser starts with a cricket match of India versus West Indies that was held in London back in 1983. The opposite team’s batsman hit a high shot in the air and the two Indian players on the field were running to catch the ball and grab a wicket. One among them was Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev. As he runs, balls drop towards the fielders and just a moment before we get to know whether it lands in their hands or on the floor, the teaser stops. We have to hold our excitement till the trailer of the film comes. The entire story of the film will unfold on the large screens on December 24.

This is the first time that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are going to share the screen space after their marriage. In the film, Deepika will play the role of Kapil Dev’s wife Rumi.
