But just like our favourite Bollywood couples, on-screen jodis from Zee TV shows too restored our faith in the ‘eternal love story’ and a ‘happily ever after.’ While there are several couples who touched us, a few enjoy a special place in our heart. Manav Deshmukh and Archana Karanjkar: Played by Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande, Manav and Archana became the ‘IT’ couple of Indian television. Not only did the show rake in robust TRPs but continued a triumphant run for five years.

Asad Ahmed Khan and Zoya Farooqui: In the Zee TV show Qubool Hai, Karan Singh Grover (later replaced by Raqesh Bapat) played a rich, ill-tempered businessman Asad while Surbhi Jyoti debuted as the fun-loving girl Zoya. Despite all the odds, the two fall in love and get married. The show has been credited to have pioneered Muslim-oriented programming on Indian television.

Dev Purohit and Radhika Dev Purohit: The list of romantic on-screen couples would be incomplete without Avinash Sachdev and Rubina Dilaik’s characters in Chotti Bahu. The couple was also dating in real life allegedly at one point, and we so loved their reel chemistry!

Siddharth Khurrana and Roshni Patel: Better known as #SidNi, Jamai Raja duo Ravi Dubey and Nia Sharma dominated headlines for being one of the best-looking onscreen jodis. Their sizzling camaraderie and wonderful pairing worked magic even in the web series made recently titled Jamai 2.0.

Abhishek ‘Abhi’ Mehra and Pragya Arora: Popularly referred to as #AbhiGya, Abhi and Pragya from Kumkum Bhagya definitely deserve a mention on the list. Shabir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha have been entertaining us as the aforementioned couple for five years now and we still cannot get enough of their mature reel romance.

Karan Luthra and Preeta Arora: When speaking of love stories, it is difficult to miss out ‘The’ Karan Luthra and Preeta Arora from Kundali Bhagya. Not only do Dheeraj Dhoopar and Shraddha Arya look stunning together as #PreeRan, but also the show has been consistently a top performer in the TRP game.

Akshat Jindal and Guddan Jindal: Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega might be a fresh addition to Zee TV’s cluster of daily soaps but definitely a strong one. Guddan and AJ are currently among the top favourite couples seen on Indian television shows.
