Exclusive Interview!Vin Rana Reveals How His Love Story With Nita Sofani Was Totally Filmi

Vin Rana, more famously known to play the role of Purab in Kumkum Bhagya, is happily married and has a rather adorable love story. For the uninitiated, the actor spent a significant amount of his time in Indonesia in their acting industry. It’s actually where he found his one true love, Nita Sofiani! Of course, the story isn’t as simple as that because it did have some challenges. Speaking exclusively with ZEE5, the actor divulged details of his dreamy love story.

“We were doing a show together and it was a very popular show in Indonesia,” said Vin. “The rehearsals of the show began for which the cast and crew were asked to meet. That was the first time I met Nita. I had seen her before because she had won the pageant. She is Miss Earth Indonesia 2013. I was like ‘Beauty queen is coming’. We both exchanged glances and that was about it, the first time. It was very Bollywood After that, we started working together and shooting together. We slowly started knowing each other, going out and eventually started dating. A year after dating, we decided to get married.”

Delving further into the complications that cropped up ahead of their wedding, Vin revealed, “There was a phase where I had to convince her parents and it took nearly 10 months. They were not ready to send their daughter to India. But I didn’t want to marry Nita by offending her parents. So I called my entire family from India to meet hers and let them know that I’m not playing around. Finally, they agreed, and now they love me more than Nita.” Now that’s a fairy tale ending.

The actor will soon be seen making his OTT debut with the ZEE5 Original Series, Poison 2. The thriller stars Aftab Shivdasani, Raai Laxmi, Pooja Chopra, Gautam Gulati, and Taher Shabbir in pivotal roles. It is directed by Vishal Pandya, produced by Suzanna Ghai, and will premiere on ZEE5 in April. Apart from the web series, the actor will also continue to play his role as Purab in Kumkum Bhagya.
