Sushant Singh Rajput Case: Sonu Nigam Applauds SC Verdict

In an exclusive video shot from his home, Bollywood playback singer Sonu Nigam addressed his fans on the occasion of his father’s birthday on Wednesday (August 19, 2020). The singer said, “Namaste. Today is my father’ Agam Kumar Nigam ji’s birthday. It is a very special day for us.” He added that today is also the day on which the CBI probe into Sushant Singh Rajput death case has been approved by the Supreme Court. Stating the reason as to why he was linking the two occasions to each other, he said that his father had told him something that had overwhelmed so much.

Nigam’s father had said that he and his younger brother, Ashok Kumar Nigam (Sonu Nigam’s uncle), had predecided that if the Supreme Court passes the investigation of the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), both of them would distribute sweets on the streets outside their house. Nigam’s surprise was evident as he said, “Can you imagine?” He further added that his father wanted to distribute Indian sweets among the poor and had gone out to purchase them from a confectioner.
