Boney Kapoor To Play Ranbir Kapoor’s Father In Luv Ranjan’s Next

Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor confirmed that he will be making his acting debut in Luv Rajan’s upcoming film. The producer will be playing the role of Ranbir Kapoor’s father in the film. Boney Kapoor recently made a cameo appearance in Vikramaditya Motwane’s AK vs AK and now he is all set to take up a full-fledged role in an upcoming romantic drama film.

The film will star actors Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles. Initially, Boney Kapoor had turned down the role when Luv Ranjan had offered him. When Boney Kapoor was adamant that he did not want to take up the part, Luv approached Arjun Kapoor who persuaded his father in taking up the role. The team will be shooting for the film in Delhi while Boney Kapoor will be shuttling between Mumbai and Delhi, for his productions ventures here.

Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor have already begun shooting for the film and Boney will be joining them this week. Luv Ranjan is best known as the director of several Bollywood films like Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and many others. He has also produced the film De De Pyaar De starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh. On the other hand, Boney Kapoor has produced several Hindi films over the years and has also turned to produce Tamil and Telugu films but never tried acting. He will be making his debut as an actor with this film and is expected to play a pivotal role in the film.
