Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and people are already making their plans for it. Talking about plans, a romantic dinner is a must on Valentine’s Day. However, going to a restaurant can be too mainstream, instead, why not cook for your loved one and surprise them on this special day? This will not only make them feel special but they will also appreciate your efforts. To help you out, here we have curated some lip-smacking recipes to make your Valentine’s Day dinner special.
For this recipe, add butter and oil to a pan. Add some grated garlic and chopped onions to it. Then add arborio rice to the pan and let it cook on low flame. When semi-cooked, add vegetable stock to the pan. Do not stir the arborio rice continuously. On small intervals, add vegetable stock to the rice. When rice is cooked partially, add blanched vegetables to it. Add white wine to it for extra flavour. Let it cook for two minutes then add basil and parmesan to it. Give it a little stir and it is ready to eat.
Tomato and Basil Bruschetta with Chicken One Pot Meal
Take some bread and cut it in thick slices. Toast bread slices in a pan. Take a tomato and cut it in a half and rub the juice onto the toasted bread. Dry roast some jeera and fry some garlic in olive oil and butter. Roughly dice some tomatoes and add some basil leaves to it. Put some olive oil in the bowl. Then finely slice some mozzarella and put it on the bread. Mix the tomato filling and put it on the bread slices. Garnish it with some salt, pepper and garlic on the bread. You can also add lemon and chilli flakes for some more flavour.
For chicken one-pot meal, marinate chicken with garam masala, turmeric, salt, lime juice and oil. Heat the oil, add garlic and onion to it. In another pan, fry some bay leaf, cardamom, star anise and peppercorn. Add washed rice to this pan. Cook the chicken in some hot oil and add green chillies when chicken is semi-cooked. Add vegetables to the chicken. Now add the rice mixture to the pan. Add a mixture of one cup of coconut milk and water to the pan. Give it a good stir and let it cook until everything is cooked.
Prawn Wontons and Thai Red CurryÂ
Combine soy sauce, ginger, garlic, spring onions, celery, manis, vinegar and oil in a bowl and set aside. Peel and de-vein prawns, then dice prawn meat. Combine prawn meat with remaining ingredients, except wonton wrappers, in a bowl, cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Place a rounded teaspoon of the prawn filling in the centre of a wonton wrapper. Dip your finger in water and moisten the edges of the wrapper. Bring a large saucepan of water to the boil. Carefully drop wontons, in batches, into the water and cook for two minutes, or until they are just cooked. To test the wontons, you will need to remove one using a slotted spoon and cut into it with a sharp knife to see if the prawns are cooked through. Remove wontons with a slotted spoon and drain. Arrange wontons on a platter and serve immediately, drizzled with dressing.
Cut paneer into one and a half-inch sized pieces. Deseed and cut green capsicums into one and a half-inch sized pieces. Grind green chillies, ginger and garlic into a fine paste. Take hung yoghurt in a bowl. Add green chutney, green chilli-ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, ajwain, garam masala powder, half of the chaat masala, kasoori methi powder, roasted chana dal powder, fresh cream, salt and mix. Add paneer cubes to the marinade and add mustard oil. Soak wooden skewers in water for fifteen minutes. Pull paneer cubes on skewers and grill.
