Mumbai Court Issues Bailable Warrant Against Kangana Ranaut In Javed Akhtar Case

Actor Kangana Ranaut manages to stay in the limelight for her bold statements and unfiltered opinions. However, this time the actor is in trouble as Metropolitan Magistrate Court issued a bailable warrant against the actor in a defamation case filed against her. Veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar filed a case against Kangana Ranaut post which she was asked to appear in court.

The complaint was filed by Javed Akhtar on 1st November, 2020. The summons was issued against Kangana Ranaut on 1st February, 2021. A month after issuing summons, Kangana still didn’t abide by the orders and so a bailable warrant was issued by the court on 1st March, 2021.

Javed Akhtar alleged Kangana Ranaut for making defamatory comments against him in Television interviews. Akhtar recorded his statement in January where he mentioned, “In what appears to be a clear campaign to malign and tarnish the reputation of the complainant (Akhtar) in the eyes of the general public”.

He had said that he was shocked to learn that on July 19, Ranaut in an interview to a TV channel falsely attributed statements to him while also opining on the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput “without appearing to have any direct personal knowledge of the circumstances around his death”.

Kangana also made statements against Javed Akhtar which involved him threatening Ranaut to keep silent after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death or he will destroy her career. The complaint also mentioned that Kangana had blamed Akhtar that he threatened her to keep silent about her alleged relationship with actor Hrithik Roshan.

Kangana Ranaut was earlier in the news when Hrithik Roshan went to Mumbai Crime Branch to submit his statement in connection with his 2016 complaint about fake emails in his name to Kangana Ranaut.
