Taapsee Pannu Is ‘Disgusted’ As Supreme Court Asks A Rapist If He Would Marry The Victim

Actor Taapsee Pannu is popularly known for her films like Manmarziyaan, Pink, and Badla. The actor is extremely active on her social media handle and is often seen raising her voice on issues she doesn’t agree with. The actor recently tweeted about how she felt about the Supreme Court’s question to a rapist. Take a look at what the actor had to say about the Supreme court’s question.

Taapsee Pannu’s reaction to Supreme courts question to a rapist 

On Monday, March 1, a Supreme court judge asked a 23-year-old man who allegedly raped a minor girl if he would marry her. The man had raped the girl when she was 16, in 2014. The case was still ongoing when the judge said that the man should have thought about the consequences before seducing the young girl. He also added that they won’t be forcing him to marry her but gave him an option to save himself from getting arrested. However, he said that he was married to someone else and he couldn’t get married to the victim.

Taapsee Pannu seemed enraged when she took to her Twitter handle to tweet about the same. She asked if someone asked the girl if she wanted to get married to her rapist. She also wrote that she was disgusted by the question asked in the court as it did not seem like a solution to her. Take a look at Taapsee Pannu’s tweet here.

Several other netizens retweeted her tweet expressing their concerns about the same. A fan wrote that she took the right decision to raise her voice. He added that she was raising her voice on the behalf of half a billion Indians like him. A Twitter user asked if people working at the Supreme Court have any women or daughters at home. Taapsee was last seen in Thappad as the lead character of Amrita. She was also seen in several recent films like Saand Ki Aankh, Mission Mangal, Badla and Game Over. The actor is currently shooting the film Dobaaraa directed by Anurag Kashyap. She had previously worked with him for Manmarziyaan starring Vicky Kaushal and Abhishek Bachchan. The actor will next be seen in films like Haseen Dilruba, Jana Gana Mana, Rashmi Rocket and Looop Lapeta.
