We all love watching a light-hearted drama with enriching moments, and Pudhu Pudhu Arthangal has been filled with them. The series has started off on the right foot showing a beautiful relationship between a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. By now, we have gotten used to the ways of the family and have understood how Lakshmi stands out from the rest of the characters. Leading a life of compromises and love, she has already managed to make us all feel for her. It is safe to say that she has stolen our hearts with her innocence.

Lakshmi is a character we might have come across in our daily lives. A loving daughter and an even more loving mother, Lakshmi is everything we know mothers to be. She spends her day inside the household, mostly cooking her family’s favourite dishes and keeping the place clean. We are further reassured of her typical mother instincts as she we see her advocating her son’s love interest to his grandfather to get permission for marriage.

She lives for her son and it is clear to us by now. Instead of getting mad at her son for asking to marry a girl he likes, like other mother characters in daily soaps, Lakshmi simply nods in joy and does everything in her control to make sure it happens the way he wants it. She goes to the girl’s family and charms them all with her happy character. After the marriage, she even lets her new daughter-in-law call her by name, proving again that she has the heart of gold where only love matters.

Most recently, we saw her panic as soon as she realizes the camera atop the cupboard was missing. However, she is overjoyed when her new daughter-in-law brings it for her. She tells her that the camera belongs to her loved one and it means the world to her. Lakshmi showcases her love for her newly found daughter by letting her take care of the camera from now on. As soft and innocent she is, we really couldn’t be any happier that she got a daughter-in-law like Pavithra.
