Born as Catherine Middleton, Kate belonged to a simple upper-middle-class family and met her husband Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, in her university and they both fell in love. They got married on 29th April 2011 and Kate Middleton became Duchess of Cambridge. She is most likely to be a future queen consort.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry
Prince Harry of the British royal family followed his brother’s footsteps and married Meghan Markle. Meghan is an American citizen who has been divorced once, but disregarding the royal family’s age-old reservation against divorcees, Harry married Meghan on May 19, 2018, and have been together through many hurdles.
King Edward and Wallis Simpson
Another member of the British royal family who married a commoner was King Edward VIII, who before anyone else in the family chose love over his royal status. King Edward abdicated the throne when he was faced with restriction from the government and the Church of England regarding his marriage with Wallis Simpson, an American divorcee. After his abdication, he married Wallis and lived in France for the rest of his life.
