Tujhse Hai Raabta: What’s Up With Kalayni’s New Avatar And Why Is She Dressed As A South Indian?

Zee TV’s popular serial Tujhse Hai Raabta stars Reem Sheikh as Kalyani and Sehban Azim as Malhar in the lead roles. In the show, Kalyani left the Rane family and fled in order to save herself from arrest and is thus separated from Malhar yet again. In the recent episode, we get to see her in a totally different identity. She appears as a South Indian woman in the show and seems to lead a life very different life from Kalyani.

In the recent past, Kalyani got involved in a murder case when the Rane family gave refuge to a helpless lady who actually was a drug cartel member. In relation to the murder, the police keep an eye on Kalyani while Malhar believes that she is innocent. Later she is found with a truck of drugs and the police misunderstand that it belongs to her. They arrest her and Malhar’s boss takes Kalyani with herself by giving the excuse that she is taking her to the police station. Instead, she tells Kalyani on the way that she will kill her and avenge the death of her husband. As just while she is going to shoot Kalyani, Malhar manages to make her disappear.

It is then shown that Malhar and his family move to Malegaon and give their life a fresh start. When they visit a temple in Malegaon, they come across a woman who looks exactly like Kalyani. She is a South Indian woman and her name is Vaijanti Reddy. She is married to a Punjabi man who is a pickpocket. When Malhar sees him picking the pockets of the devotees, he catches him and starts taking him to the police station. As the man shouts Vaijanti’s name, she throws a coconut on Malhar’s head and tells him he cannot take her husband anywhere as it is only she who can touch him.

Kalyani’s new avatar is very different from her original look as Kalyani. As Vaijanti, she is dressed like a typical South Indian woman. She is seen wearing a silk saree with heavy gold jewellery. She has a gajra of white and orange flowers on her hair and can be seen wearing two nose rings on both sides of the nose. She wears bibhuti on her forehead and talks in a south Indian accent. Vaijanti seems to be pregnant and she is quite protective of her husband.

It will be interesting to see if she is indeed Kalyani in a new identity or is she a different person who looks like Kalyani? How will her presence in Malhar’s life affect them both and how will Malhar find out the whereabouts of his Kalyani? To know more, watch Tujhse Hai Raabta.
