Amitabh Bachchan Contributes Rs 2 Cr To A COVID-19 Care Facility In Delhi

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan is one of the many celebrities who have been trying to help in the current COVID-19 crisis in the country. According to the most recent reports, he contributed around ₹2 crores to the Guru Tegh Bahadur COVID care centre, which has been set up in Delhi. President of the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee recently tweeted about the actor’s contribution and how it has been helping the people in the city in such a grave situation. The country has been facing a deadly COVID-19 second wave and the numbers have been on the rise for the last few months.

Bollywood celebrities have lately been trying their best to help the people in need amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. According to the video attached above, Amitabh Bachchan recently contributed ₹2 crores to the Guru Tegh Bahadur COVID care facility which has been set up in Delhi. This facility will help the people get hold of all COVID 19-related resources including oxygen beds and ventilators. It has also been confirmed that the facilities can be availed by the people from 10^th March onwards, as soon as the set-up is in place.

Manjinder Singh Sirsa, President of the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee recently tweeted the details regarding the actor’s contributions. He also mentioned how he has been calling up daily to check on the developments to ensure that the help reaches the ones in need.

Delhi is one of the worst-hit cities in the country as the resources are scarce and polarized. Mumbai had also been amongst the worst affected cities of the country but the BMC has been successful in flattening the curve by imposing strict restrictions across the city. A well-followed lockdown and well-aware citizens have also contributed to curbing the situation.
