A news portal claimed that Akshay Kumar and Ahan Shetty have teamed up for Sajid Nadiadwala’s next project. Denying all these claims, Akshay took to his Twitter handle to bust this piece of fake news.

Every year, superstar Akshay Kumar seems to be on a film signing spree. Of late, the actor has been a part of several releases within a specific year. And thus, any news about him signing a new project seems to be nothing but true. Recently, there were reports of Akshay being roped in for Sajid Nadiadwala’s next film along with Ahan Shetty. However, refuting the rumours, the actor busted this piece of “fake news”.

Earlier yesterday, a news portal claimed that Akshay Kumar and Ahan Shetty have teamed up for Sajid Nadiadwala’s next project. It was also reported that the actors will be featuring as the ‘lead duo’. Denying all these claims, Akshay took to his Twitter handle to bust this fake news. He wrote, “10/10 on FAKE news scale! How about I start my own fake news busting business?”

Well, this is not the first time Akshay quashed off any film rumours on his Twitter handle. Last month, there were several reports of Akshay being a part of Dhoom 4. The actor promptly denied these reports stating it as “FAKE NEWS!”

Currently, Akshay is busy shooting for the film ‘Raksha Bandhan’ which is being helmed by Aanand L Rai. Upon easing of lockdown restrictions, the actor decided to kickstart his new projects. And Raksha Bandhan is one of them. The actor announced this good news on social media whilst dedicating the film to his sister Alka Bhatia.

Talking about Akshay’s film releases this year, ‘Bell Bottom’ is set to hit the big screens on July 27. Also, the actor is waiting for the release of Rohit Shetty’s directorial Sooryavanshi which has been postponed due to the ongoing pandemic. Ahead this year, Akshay also has Bachchan Pandey and Prithviraj lined up for release.
