Will Ajay Devgn Not Be A Part Of Singham 3? Here’s What We Know

When you hear the word Singham, the first thing that comes to a person’s mind is the striking image of a uniform-clad Ajay Devgn roaring with pride. Today i.e. on July 22, it has been 10 glorious years since the release of Singham. Helmed by Rohit Shetty, Singham is a film that not only captured the audience interests but also earned well at the box office. This led to a sequel of the film, titled, Singham Returns which was equally loved and appreciated by one and all. Ever since then, the fans have been eagerly waiting for a third instalment of the film. However, unfortunately for his fans, Ajay Devgn won’t be a part of Singham 3.
The first film in the Hindi Singham series by Rohit Shetty was an official remake of the Tamil film Singam. However, Singham Returns was inspired by the Malayalam film Ekalavyan. Later, the audiences also got a spin-off in the form of Simmba and will get another spin-off with Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi. While Ajay Devgn’s Bajirao Singham is featured in both the spin-offs, fans were eagerly waiting for the announcement of Singham 3. But looks like there’s some bad news for the Ajay Devgn fans.

A source close to the makers of Singham 3 has confirmed that this instalment wouldn’t have Ajay Devgn as the leading hero. In fact, Thakur Anoop Singh, who played the lead antagonist in Surya’s Singam 3, will now be seen reprising the role of the lead protagonist. Earlier it was reported that Thakur Anoop Singh might reprise his own role from the film. However, a source has recently revealed that the actor will be seen essaying the role of the leading cop in Singham 3.

Singham 3 will mark Thakur Anoop Singh‘s debut in Bollywood as a lead protagonist after playing the villain for so long in South Indian films. You might even remember him as the villain in Commando 2. However, it will be interesting to see him play the lead in Singham 3.
