Honey Singh’s Wife Shalini Talwar Accuses Him Of Domestic Violence, Files A Case!

As per the reports, Shalini Talwar issued a plea seeking protection against alleged atrocities committed by Honey Singh and his family. Following this, the court has issued a notice to the singer.

Renowned Bollywood singer and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh is making headlines for all the wrong reasons. Yes! The singer has landed in legal trouble. Recently, Honey Singh’s wife Shalini Talwar filed a case against him under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act. As per the reports, his wife issued a plea seeking protection against alleged atrocities committed by Singh and his family. Following this, the court has issued a notice to the singer.

Earlier this week, Shalini Talwar had approached a court in Delhi to take legal action against her husband Yo Yo Honey Singh. And following her plea, Delhi’s Tis Hazari court on Tuesday sent a notice to the singer, seeking his response. In her complaint, Shalini not only accused Honey Singh but also his parents. She filed a petition under section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 (PWDV Act 2005) against the singer.

Also, according to Shalini’s statement, she has been subjected to numerous incidents of “physical abuse, verbal, mental abuse and emotional abuse”. It is being reported that Shalini filed a lengthy complaint mentioning all the incidents of “abuse” since their marriage.

For those unaware, Honey Singh and Shalini first met in 2001. After dating for more than ten years, the couple got married in 2011. And highlighting the same in her complaint, Shalini stated that physical abuse started during their honeymoon in 2011 in Mauritius. She also added that he became “rude and brash” towards her after his career took off in showbiz.

Furthermore, Shalini alleged Honey of cheating on her, hiding their marriage, etc. Also, she noted that the singer has been addicted to alcohol and drugs. As per the latest reports, Shalini has sought a 20 crore compensation.
