Is Sanjay Leela Bhansali Going Ahead With Inshallah Without Salman Khan?
BollywoodLooks like Sanjay Leela Bhansali decides to revive the film without Salman Khan.
Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have always had a love-hate relationship, at one point they were criticizing each other’s movies, at another they were back to praising one another. So obviously when Inshallah was announced, we could hardly sit still on the chairs.
Bhansali has always been a maestro at depicting love and drama onscreen to add to that, having a cast like Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt. It was a casting coupe worth waiting for. Unfortunately the project was shelved over creative differences between Khan and Bhansali. However, the buzz is that Bhansali has decided to revive the project.
Sources close to Bhansali have vouched that the film is on, though Salman Khan won’t be a part of it. Apparently, Bhansali has sworn never to work with Khan given the nightmare it was working with him on Inshallah. But Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi aka Alia Bhatt will definitely continue with the project.
So if not Salman Khan who would be romancing Alia Bhatt in the film? Will be Bhatt’s Dear Zindagi co-star Shah Rukh Khan? Well, no! It won’t be a Khan but certainly an A-list actor. If the grapevine can be trusted, it might turn out to be Salman Khan’s Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam co-actor, Ajay Devgn. The actor who took the girl in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, taking over the film too from Salman seems harsh but completely believable. Apparently, Devgn is making a cameo in Gangubai Kathiawadi and is in very good terms with Bhansali. The two first worked together in 1999, years later Devgn still is a big fan of Bhansali’s work. Talking about Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ajay shared, “Bhansali’s contribution to cinema is unparalleled.” He went onto say that Bhansali’s passion and dedication towards cinema is infectious.
The admiration might as well work it’s charm, because one way or another we want to see Inshallah, and see it soon.
