Highest Paid Hollywood Actors in 2021

Gone are the days when Jim Carrey became the highest paid actor in a single film in the 1990s. Carrey was paid an amount of $20 million for a single appearance in the film The Cable Guy (1996). Now with the online streaming platforms  taking over the traditional means of entertainment delivery causing a massive rise in payment as the actors are now paid up-front unlike the earlier way. Here are the some highest paid actors:

Daniel Craig: $100 million +

After the massive success of Knives out (2019) by Rian Johnson starring Daniel Craig, Netflix has reportedly bought the rights to the movie and has turned it into a franchise. A double sequel is expected of the movie as Knives Out 2 and Knives Out 3. According to reports Daniel Craig will be walking out with a whopping $100 million from the deal.

Dwayne Johnson:  $50 million

The Rock seems to have teamed up with “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw” screen-writer Chris Morgan for an upcoming film Red One (2023) . The deal will guarantee him a paycheck of $50 million.

Will Smith and Denzel Washington: $40 million. 

For his upcoming role in “King Richard”, where he plays the father of tennis legend Serena and Venus Williams. The MIB and I am Legend star seems to have landed himself a great deal. The film will be out in theatres  by November. Like Smith, Washington has not been far behind with his 2021 troubled detective film, The Little Things, which was also hosted on OTT.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Wahlberg: $30 million

Their next project seems to have been looking out for both DiCaprio and Wahlberg. Although for separate projects, Leo in Don’t Look Up and Mark for Spencer Confidential, there’s no denying the duo are obviously having a great time.

Sandra Bullock, Ryan Gosling, Chris Hemsworth and Brad Pitt: $20 million

Who would have imagined? The sixth position is shared by four different actors for different films. Bullock stars in The Lost City of D, Gosling in The Gray Man, Hemsworth in Thor: Love and Thunder, and Brad Pitt in Bullet Train. I guess $20 million benchmarks have become so common. Suck it up, Jim Carrey!
