Billie Eilish is not content being a star. At 20, Eilish is rallying behind some noteworthy causes. With seven Grammy award wins in her kitty, her voice reaches far and wide for sure

Young star Billie Eilish is rooted in reality. All the success and fame she has achieved at such a young age in her life is being used to promote the causes of climate change and mental health. Eilish will perform at Global Citizen Live on September 25 in New York. It is a global event with celebrities across the world participating in it to raise awareness about the environment, vaccine equality, and famine.

The climate crisis is here and it’s a code red threat for the planet. The US has an opportunity to lead the world to a sustainable future while creating jobs and saving lives. It starts with the #BuildBackBetter act – and it needs support! #CodeRedCongress pic.twitter.com/BjZ5gLpakA

The talented singer and songwriter will perform with Coldplay and Jennifer Lopez at Central Park.  Britain’s Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are also likely to take part in the event.

In April 2020, she along with her brother FINNEAS participated in Global Citizen’s historic global broadcast event One World: Together At Home, to express gratitude towards frontline health care workers for their contribution during the COVID-19 pandemic.

At 20 Eilish already has seven Grammy award wins in her kitty. Her latest album ‘Happier than ever’ is ruling the charts. She not only writes her songs but also directs their videos.

Eilish was born in 2001 in Los Angeles. She and her brother Finneas O’Connell had an innate passion for music. When she was 14 Eilish and FINNEAS recorded ‘Ocean Eyes’, a major hit that made the world take note of their talent. FINNEAS has been producing her sister’s music since then.

The singer was recently featured on the cover of Elle Magazine where she spoke about the perils of being on social media and the constant scrutiny she has to face. She was trolled for wearing a corset for Vogue’s cover.

She also collaborated with Nike to create two pairs of “100% vegan” Air Jordan sneakers. The shoes, to be launched on September 27, are aligned with Eilish’s commitment to animal-friendly fashion. She has marched with young environmental activist Greta Thunberg and organized plastic-free shows to highlight the issue of climate emergency.
