Maidaan Official Poster Out: Ajay Devgn Shares First Glimpses; Film To Release In October On THIS Date

Ever since the Chief Minister of Maharashtra had announced that the theatres in the state will be reopening from October 22, the filmmakers are on the roll to announce the release date of their films. Joining several others are the makers of Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan. The film will have a theatrical release on June 3, 2022.

The lead actor of Maidaan, Ajay Devgn took to his Instagram account to drop the poster of the film which also puts light on the date of release of the film, Maidaan. Ajay Devgn while announcing the date of release wrote in his caption, “Maidaan, A story that will resonate with every Indian, a film that I feel very strongly about. Mark the date on your calendar. Releasing worldwide on June 3, 2022.”

Maidaan also features Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Rudranil Ghosh along with Ajay Devgn. The Amit Ravindernath Sharma directorial film is inspired by a true story. It will showcase the journey of one of the finest coaches that emerged from India. That coach had put India on the global map. Maidaan is based on real events between 1952 and 1962 which are also known as the golden era of Indian football.

The film will see Ajay Devgn as Syed Abdul Rahim, who served as a coach and manager of the Indian football team. Ajay Devgn starrer is produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla, and Arunava Joy Sengupta. While the screenplay is done by Saiwyn Quadras, and dialogues are written by Ritesh Shah.

Talking more about Ajay Devgn, he will be seen Gangubai Kathiawadi alongside Alia Bhatt. He also has SS Rajamouli’s RRR and Mayday along with Amitabh Bachchan in his pipeline. Ajay Devgn will make his digital debut in web series Rudra: The Edge of Darkness.
