Why Angelina Jolie shoved This ‘Eternals’ Mexican star’s face Into a birthday cake

We all got excited when we saw Angelina Jolie smashing her co-star Salma Hayek’s face in her birthday cake. Hayek discussed about her recent birthday with Jimmy Kemmel on Thursday night Live.

Mexican style Birthday Bash

Salma Hayek’s 55th birthday was celebrated in September, and Angelina Jolie assisted her friends with a birthday tradition. Hayek stated to Jimmy Kimmel and Kumail Nanjiani that squeezing a person’s face into their cake is a Mexican birthday ritual, and Jolie was charged with the responsibility. Salma said that despite her initial reluctance, she was able to complete the task.

Mordida

Angelina Jolie makes sure Salma Hayek has her cake and wears it too in the video posted by Hayek. As Jolie smashes Hayek’s face into her birthday cake, a crowd gathers around the actress, yelling “Mordida!” Hayek told Jimmy Kimmel that her pals anticipated she would be upset over missing her spouse and children on her birthday. She explained that she had to fly the following day because she had to work that day. They just came up to my house since they felt sorry for her loneliness. Hayek shared a coconut cake that her agent had sent her with her friends.

During the interview  with Kimmel, Hayek clarified the meaning of mordida, stating, After you blow the candles, you have to mordida—which means biting. You must eat the cake with your lips only, without using your hands or anything else. Then there’s the one who comes up behind you and smacks you in the face with the cake.

She recalled Jolie’s lack of familiarity with Mexican tradition and explained what was going on. According to Hayek, Jolie originally objected to doing the duties, but then relented and did it with zeal.

Kimmel asked if her fellow Eternals co-star Kumail Nanjiani, who appeared with her on Jimmy Kimmel Live, was invited to the party. He jokingly replied he was not in the guest list I guess  and he mordida’s himself to sleep at home.
