Web SeriesTrue events that have inspired Aishwarya Rajesh & Vijay Sehtupathi’s Ka Pae Ranasingham in parts Its trailer starts with that claim – going to exclusively premiere on ZEE5 on Nov 6
P.Virumaandi’s directorial debut, Ka Pae Ranasingam, has already created a stir among fans while garnering positive reviews from the critics. Ka Pae Ranasingam which translates to ‘Husband named Ranasingam’ is a must-watch, gut-wrenching tale that is more often than not, inspired by today’s political narrative. Here are three instances where the Kotapadi Rajesh production was inspired by real-life incidents as seen in the trailer
The Plot:
The movie, inspired by a series of real-life incidents, talks about a woman who chooses to stand against the system. Ariyanachi played bt the Kanaa star, Aishwariya Rajesh, finds her self in a fix when she is amidst a conflict that the state does nothing about. The character was inspired by a real story and is set in the village of Ramanathapuram.
Water shortage in Tamil Nadu:
The Vikram Vedha actor, Vijay Sethupathi’s dialogue, at the beginning of the trailer, “In future, the basis of politics will be on the water and air instead of caste and religion” hints towards the ongoing water scarcity in Tamil Nadu. The situation seems to be getting dire by the day in the state. The state of Tamil Nadu has conflicted with Karnataka over the Kaveri river since ages and has been the victim of depleting water availability.
Farmers’ plight in the nation:
There is no doubt that the farmers in India are not exactly experiencing favourable circumstances. It becomes even more evident when the trailer shows a scene where Vijay objects industrial development at the cost of the farmers. The Ghibran musical delves into the political scenario of this country while trying to touch upon almost all issues.
The CAA/NRC Narrative:
At the very end of the trailer, Aishwariya starts shouting at an official while expressing her anger and exclaims, “Go ahead, and write that we are not from India at all.” It is at this moment that we are reminded subtly, of the whole CAA NRC narrative in our country. The Kattappava Kanon and Rekka actors are back with another enthralling performance in Ka Pae Ranasingam, creating a stir for the movie’s much-anticipated release on ZEE5 and ZEEPLEX. This cinematic saga is now available on ZEE5 Premium.
