The late iconic legend Dev Anand even today is considered as one of Indian cinemas finest actors who was also a writer, director, and producer that had an illustrious career in the Bollywood Industry spanning six decades. He was one of the most successful actors in the world of showbiz.
Mohan Churiwala is a friend and colleague of the late icon Dev Anand, who discusses and opened up on the legend’s rumored relationships with Suraiya and Zeenat Aman, along with his perspective about women, marking the 10th death anniversary of Dev Anand.
Mohan Churiwala shared how Dev Anand was the type of person who, despite being futuristic, maintained a traditional attitude towards women. Poems, roses, and shooting stars were among his old expressions of love. Even though the experienced actor was extremely sensitive to his emotions, he never let his heartbreak affect his romantic relationships. When the actor was rumored to be dating Suraiya and Zeenat Aman, which did not last long, he was able to control his emotions and bounce back nicely.
He also threw some light on the fact that in his entire career as an actor, Dev Anand was never been accused of misbehaving with his female co-actresses during his shoot for the films. Dev Saab’s attitude was always genuine. All of his heroines felt secure with him because he respected them, whether it was Nandaji, Sadhnaji, or Waheeda Rehmanji. Because of his gentlemanly charisma, Waheedaji once referred to him as a decent flirtatious. The woman’s sex appeal, according to Dev Saab, was based on her knowledge, intellect, and well-groomed appearance. He despised unpleasant odors, thus he used to take mint, elaichi, or cloves regularly to avoid undesirable odors.
The experienced actor believed that no one can be described as beautiful. Whether it was in his film or his life, Dev Anand never looked back. Not only that, but the actor was also a proponent of staying away from those who make you doubt yourself. Life will be significant as long as people have their minds strong.
Dev Anand died on December 3, 2011 (4 December 2011 I.S.T.) in his room at The Washington Mayfair in London, due to a cardiac arrest. He was around 88 years old.
