Aasif Sheikh: Biography

Veteran artist Aasif Sheikh is an Indian film, stage and television actor. He played the role of Prince Ajay Singh in India’s very first TV serial, Hum Log. He has been a part of many bollywood movies and TV shows after that. One of his most iconic roles include his character in the show Office Office that ran from 1999 to 2009. Currently Aasif is seen in the popular running sitcom series Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain where he plays the role of Vibhuti Narayan Mishra. He has a huge fan base and has become a widely recognised face amongst the audience.

Early Life And Family:

Aasif was born on 11 September 1964 in Delhi, India. His hometown, however, is Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Aasif was married to Zeba Sheikh, who is a housewife. He has two children, one daughter named Maryam Nastasia and a son named Alyjah Iman.

Aasif used to be a fine athlete in his early days and aspired to become a springboard diver or cricketer, but due to some injury, he had to leave sports. That is when he started becoming inclined towards theatre.

Career:

Aasif is associated with the Indian Peoples Theatre Association Mumbai. He has acted in popular plays like Kabuliwala, Aakhri Shama, Simla Coffee House, Hum Deewane Hum Parwane, Ek Baar Phir,  All Iz Well With Shuturmurg and U-Turn.
