Actor Kaikala Satyanarayana hospitalised in Hyderabad post an accident at home

Veteran Telugu actor Kaikala Satyanarayanahas been hospitalized in Hyderabad after he met with an accident. According to sources the 86year old actor had slipped and fallen earlier this week at his home, in the aftermath of which he was shifted to a private hospital, on Saturday night. On 30th of October, after a series of treatments doctors declared his health to be in a much stable state. Following which, it is expected that he will be discharged soon.

Satyanarayan has been in the industry now for around six decades, tracing back to the times when he began his career in the 1950s. The veteran actor made his debut in 1959 with Sipayi Koothuru. The actor is well known for all the versatile roles he has played in various movies in his long career span that go on to make around 800 movies, till his last one in Maharshi in 2019, that was written and directed by Vamshi Paidipally. Over the years he has played a hero, a villain, friend, father and even grandfather.

In the starting of his career his great resemblance to the icon NT Rama Rao made him avail a lot of opportunities, by playing as his duplicate in many movies. Grabbing NTR’s attention he got a famous movie Apoorva Sahasra Siraccheda Chintamani, which was directed by SD Lal. This was the taking off point of his career. Some of his famous movies are Lava Kusa, Narthanasala, Kurukshethram, and Gola Nagamma among others.

Satyanarayana is not just a versatile actor but also a versatile person in general and made his mark not only as a producer but also as a politician. He was elected as Member of Parliament  from the Machilipatnam constituency in the 11th Lok Sabha elections. Along with this he was also a part of Telugu Desam Party. As an actor he has got the prestigious Nandi award and Filmfare lifetime achievement award as well.
