Actor Nagarjuna Akkineni is forever young superstar of Tollywood. He has acted with leading ladies who have worked with his father and his son as well.

That Indian heroes are forever young and seldom age is a given.

It is this anti-ageing ‘formula’ which has willy-nilly given Tollywood superstar Nagarjuna the right to flaunt a unique record in the Telugu film industry. Nagarjuna who is playing the male lead with Kajal Agarwal in The Ghost owns the record of having paired with actors who have worked with his actor-producer father Akkineni Nageshwara Rao and his son Naga Chaitanya Akkineni.

Past Tollywood heroines such as Jayasudha and Rati Agnihotri in their heydays paired up with both actor Nandamuri Balakrishna and his illustrious father and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao aka NTR to his die-hard fans.

Another equally famous actor Sridevi, who has paired up with Nagarjuna  Akkineni subsequently, had also earlier shared screen space with Akkineni Nageshwara Rao. Rakul Preet Singh, Nagarjuna’s love interest in Cupid 2, a sequel to Cupid was the lead lady for Naga Chaitanya Akkineni in Rarandoy Veduka Cheddam.

Naga Chaitanya Akknieni’s leading lady in Dada – Kajal Agarwal, is now starring in Nagarjuna Akkineni’s latest flick – The Ghost. According to Tollywood watchers, the only actor who can challenge Nagarjuna Akkineni’s current record of pairing up with the actor who has worked with his father and his son is Nandamuri Balakrishna.

The illustrious son of NTR has not yet acted with a leading lady who is yet to appear in a film with his son Mokshagna Teja. For this to happen, Mokshagna Teja has to first cut his teeth in Tollywood, which is not averse to or is not surprised when children follow in the footsteps of their actor parents.

Nandamuri Balakrishna could equal Nagarjuna’s seemingly unique artistic record only as and when Mokshagna Teja makes his Tollywood debut and pairs up with an actor who has worked with his father before. However, with Nandamuri Balakrishna not too keen to bring his son into Tollywood anytime soon, it is a safe bet that Nagarjuna Akkineni’s record will remain unchallenged for some time now.
