After Anushka Sharma And Virat Kohli’s 9-Month-Old Daughter, Vamika Received Rape Threats, Delhi Commission For Women Steps In To Take Action
BollywoodAfter the unfortunate loss of team India in the recent match, India is very dishearted. People with rage threatened Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s daughter Vamika with unacceptable actions. Now in the latest development, Delhi Commission For Women have stepped in to take strict actions
Virat Kohli, the captain of the Indian Cricket Team has led his team to success numerous times. While playing sports, it is natural that sometimes you come out triumphant, and sometimes you have to face failures. But the die-hard cricket fans fail to see through this reality. Time and again, the cricket fans in India have blamed the captains of the teams personally, when the team loses a match. Virat Kohli is not new to this disrespectful nature. But recently, after the losses team India faced against Pakistan and New Zealand, in the T20 matches, Virat Kohli’s daughter, Vamika, faced threats from these so-called fans of cricket.
Blaming the captain for the loss of the match is one thing, but to go ahead and threaten his family, and a baby girl at that, is nothing short of atrocious. Team India captain Virat Kohli and Anushka’s daughter Vamika has received several threats online after India lost the match. The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) stepped in for Vamika. The commission issued a notice to Delhi police for the threats that Anushka Sharma and Captain Kohli’s babygirl is facing. Swati Malival, the chairperson of the DCW, claims that the behaviour of these online trolls is very shameful and that the Indian Cricket Team has led the nation to victories many times. The DCW sought information from the Delhi Police who promised to have the information ready by the 8th of November.

The “cricket fans” had also trolled several members of the Indian Cricket Team after they recently lost a match against Pakistan. Mohammed Shami, the pacer, faced most of this atrocious behaviour. The trollers questioned Shami’s devotion to the Indian Team because he followed a different faith; a faith that is majorly followed in Pakistan. Captain Kohli stood up to these comments and called the people behind them spineless cowards.
The threats received by the nine-month-old girl are an example of the shameful behaviour that has been normalized in this country. Hopefully, the Delhi Police, will pay proper heed to the Delhi Commission for Women and properly prosecute the perpetrators of such shameful behaviour.
