After going to dinner together, Rihanna and John Mayer’s fans believe they’re working on new music

Rihanna, 33, and John Mayer, 43, have raised eyebrows after being pictured exiting the same West Hollywood restaurant on October 5th. Many fans are wondering if a music collaboration is in the works after the singers were seen eating dinner together inside the restaurant. Despite the fact that they were photographed separately outside, Page Six alleges they met together beforehand, and it didn’t take long for speculation to begin about the likely motives for the outing.

“If they could just release a song together…,” one part of a tweet read while another read, “Probably doing a song together.” One fan simply asked, “Why” they were having dinner and another exclaimed, “A collaboration!” A third fan wrote, “I’m here for this” and a fourth shared, “Omg a collab.”

Although collaboration has yet to be confirmed, it would be amazing to see Rihanna and John collaborate on something musical! It’s also likely that their meeting was merely a catch-up hangout, given that the two are known to be lifelong friends. Rihanna wore a brown blouse that let her toned midriff peek out under an ivory cardigan and trousers during the latest outing, while John wore a patterned button-down shirt and tan cargo pants.

Rihanna and John are said to have met through a mutual acquaintance, Katy Perry, in 2013. John and Katy dated from 2012 to 2014, however, they were spotted together again in January 2015. Their relationship did not last, and the singer of “Roar” is now engaged to Orlando Bloom.

Rihanna, like Katy, has been in a long-term relationship with A$AP Rocky, 33. Initially, the buddies became significant others kept their relationship covert, but they haven’t been hesitant about being seen together and flaunting PDA during several public outings this year. The two are “madly in love,” according to a source, and “there’s a lot of noise about an engagement being in the works.”
