Agga Bai Sasubai’s Shubhra Aka Tejashri Pradhan’s Journey Of Struggles Is Inspiring

In real life, we have an example of a woman, who has proven that she is equally fearless and can overcome every obstacle thrown her way! You might have guessed who we are talking about by now, it is none other than our Agga Bai Sasubai’s perfect daughter-in-law Shubhra aka Tejashri Pradhan. The actress who came into the public eye with her acting prowess in the movie Zenda, has never had it easy. She has struggled to achieve the appreciation and stardom which she has now. So what made the little girl from a Mumbai suburb grow into a fearless overachieving woman? We bring to you the story of Tejashri –a superwoman!

Tejashri revealed in the Zee Marathi show Kanala Khada that she had not decided to act till she was in her 10th grade. When she was 15, she decided to enroll in a personality development course that came along with a course in acting and this is how destiny dictated Tejashri’s life, leading her towards acting. The actress belongs to the suburb of Dombivli near Mumbai and has had a complete middle-class Maharashtrian upbringing. She received the offer for a film in her second year at college and she took the call in front of her parents, who surprisingly encouraged her to go ahead with it!

Tejashri worked in a couple of films that never made it to the screen, so she had to be answerable to people who asked her about her work and the proof that she was working in the industry. But this phase did not last long as Tejashri received the offer for the film Zenda soon. This film was a major breakthrough for her career and she rose to instant fame post that. Tejashri acted in several films and television shows, post the film. But she became a household name after her show Honaar Sunn Mi Hya Gharchi.

For Tejashri, success didn’t come to her on a platter and she had to struggle for it. When she was doing her first show, the actress used to travel from Dombivli daily. She used to board the last train at 1 am and reach home at the break of dawn. Tejashri’s struggle got worse during her next show in which she had to board the first train in the morning at 4 am and would reach home late at night. But Tejashri kept on working hard and finally achieved success. However, little did she know that trouble would come knocking on her door soon.

Tejashri married her Honaar Sunn Mi Hya Gharchi co-star Shashank Ketkar but the couple called it quits after just a year of staying together. Although Shashank blamed it on Tejashri and soon remarried, the latter had to face society and stay strong during this phase. There was a time when she lost all hope and decided to give up on acting. But her parents and her friends helped in pulling her out of her dark times. Her mother, during an interview, said, ‘Trusting people easily is Tejashri’s biggest weakness.” But the tigress did not let her troubles get the better of her. Today, she goes on to conquer the world and silently licks her wounds when alone.

Tejashri has come back stronger and better post the setback in her life. She has decided to choose a happy life over everything and everyone. Her social media is filled with motivational posts and she has turned towards fitness for therapy. The actress is making waves for her role as Shubhra in the popular Zee Marathi serial Agga Bai Sasubai.
