From their macho avatar to their cool philosophies, here are a few villains from Salman Khan films whose charming personality became an interesting highlight of the story.

Gone is the era when movie villains lived on a deserted land and were surrounded by goons 24/7. The modern-age villains are humanised in such a way that we often empathise with them. Though we love to hate them, we often find ourselves admiring their charming personality. In a similar instance, actor Randeep Hooda’s character of a crime lord in the upcoming film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai has got the fans excited. In the trailer, we saw a glimpse of Hooda’s radiant yet devious persona. And this has raised our expectations!

Watch the trailer of Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai here:

While Salman Khan plays a dutiful and bold cop Radhe, Hooda portrays the villainous crime lord of the city. Undoubtedly, Salman’s heroic persona is garnering massive love from the fans. However, Hooda’s funky look in the film has also become the talk of the entertainment world. And this has ultimately made us take a look back at the villains in Salman Khan films. And guess what? This is not the first time that a Salman Khan film will have a cool and appealing figure as a villain.

While some had the macho avatar the others were too cool with their philosophies. So, here’s taking a look at 5 villains from Salman Khan films who were as charming and radiant as the hero.

Ghani Bhai (Wanted)

The action drama Wanted portrayed the clash between the underworld and the police force. In the film, Salman Khan played the role of Radhe, a cop on a secret mission. And on the opposite side, we had the mastermind Ghani Bhai (Prakash Raj). Arguably, Ghani Bhai is one of the most interesting villains of Bollywood.

From his sarcastic takes to masterfully weaved plans, this villainous character has the charm which keeps you glued to your screens. Whether it is the writer’s add-on or Prakash Raj’s promising portrayal, Ghani Bhai definitely is a villain worth remembering.

Chhedi Singh (Dabangg)

Sonu Sood’s Chhedi Singh remains to be the most entertaining villain of the Dabangg series. While his absurd name became a catalyst to many comical scenes, it was his macho avatar that set the battling tone. Devious-minded Chhedi crossing paths with our hero Chulbul Pandey did make for some epic scenes in the film. Most importantly, the climax scene wherein a shirtless fight between Chhedi and Chulbul takes place is still considered as an intriguing fighting sequence.

Well, Cheddi’s character was quite radiant and also added a comic undertone to the story of Dabangg. A villain audience surely loves.

Shiv (Kick)

Silence often resembles peace but in the film Kick, silenceKic is a haunting aspect due to the villainous character Shiv (Nawazuddin Siddiqui). There are few scenes in the film where Shiv is seen torturing the innocent ones and it gets worse when silence strikes! Shiv gives a tough fight to Salman’s character Devi Lal Singh and makes up for an intriguing villain in the film.

His radiance lies in his ‘not-so-pleasant’ acts. However, Nawaz’s top-notch performance makes him one of the most interesting villains of all time.

Balli Singh (Dabangg 3)

Actor Sudeep plays the menacing character, Balli Singh, in the film Dabangg 3. Unlike Chhedi Singh, Balli is a ‘no-nonsense’ villain. As soon as Chulbul interferes in his illegal activities, Balli is ready for vengeance. His character has equivalent importance in the film as that of Chulbul’s. While we root for Chulbul Pandey, there’s no fact denying that we loved the ways Balli deals with his enemies.

The face-offs between Chulbul and Balli make up for some noteworthy scenes. Balli’s personality is elegant and he’s the good-faced villain of the film. And that might be more harmful than anything else!

Niranjan (Prem Ratan Dhan Payo)

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo essays the conflicts and problems that sustain within each and every family. Contrary to the other films on the list, this one is not high on action. Salman plays dual roles in the film, one as Prem and the other being Prince Vijay. And the antagonist here is Vijay’s half-brother Niranjan (Neil Nitin Mukesh).

In this drama about family politics and hierarchy, the battle and conspiracies within the minds of characters are essayed very aptly. Niranjan is a cunning young man who’s greedy for power and can stoop down to any extent to achieve his goals. His sugar-coated persona is what makes him a charming and cunning villain.

Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai will be streaming on ZEE5 from May 13.
