Filmmaker Rohit Shetty is setting new heights in terms of creating a new cinematic universe in Bollywood. Known for his action-oriented films, Shetty has set up different heroic cops through films including Singham, Simmba, and the upcoming Sooryavanshi. And while fans are excited about future crossovers, now there seems to be an unexpected change. Yes! While the preparations of Singham 3 are in full swing, the latest scoop is that actor Ajay Devgn will not be a part of this threequel.
In the first two films of the Singham franchise, actor Ajay Devgn played the titular role. And since then, he has been fondly known as the ‘Singham’ of Bollywood. However, it seems that the actor will not be reviving his role in Singham 3. As per the reports, Tollywood actor Thakur Anoop Singh will be playing the lead in this threequel. And this project will also mark Singh’s Bollywood debut.
For those unversed, Anoop Singh played the role of a villain in the Tamil original ‘Singam 3’. He was seen opposite the south superstar Suriya. And now to the contrary, Singh will be playing the lead cop in the Hindi remake. The actor is quite excited about his venture into Bollywood that too with a ‘heroic’ character like Singham. Filmmaker Gudda Dhanoa is on board to direct Singham 3. And the preparations for the project have begun with the pre-production work.
Apart from playing the lead antagonist in the Tamil version, Thakur Anoop Singh has portrayed villainous roles in several south films. Also, he has been a prominent face of television, playing the role of Dhritarashtra in the TV series Mahabharat. And now, bagging the lead role in Singham 3, Anoop has achieved a new milestone, altogether.
Talking more about Singham 3, the film will see our macho cop Bajirao Singham investiagting the murder of police commissioner. Though the details about the complete cast is yet to be out, the news about the threequel has already been in buzz.
