Aju Varghese got his first Malayalam break in Vineeth Srinivasan’s 2010 cult hit movie ‘Malarvadi Arts Club’. The actor soon started appearing as the essential comedian and sidekick in many similar genres, thus becoming a favourite among hitmakers. The 2012 movie ‘Thattathin Marayathu’ earned him a memorable status in the minds of Malayali youth as Abdu and has been a part of more than 100 movies since then.

The actor is celebrating his 35th birthday today and here are #4 lesser known facts about the amazing actor:
#1 Malarvadi Arts Club Director Vineeth Srinivasan and Aju were college friends: His favourite director and mentor, who gave him his first break in Malarvadi Arts Club in 2010, was his college friend. The actor was preferred as the director’s first choice to play the quirky character from the film.
#2 He’s a producer too: The actor recently became a producer, while acting in the same film alongside youth icon Nivin Pauly in 2019. Love Action Drama was one of the many Malayalam hits that came out last year. Interestingly the movie was directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan’s brother Dhyan Sreenivasan.
#3 Aju Varghese is a loving father of two sets of twins: The actor is married to Celiene Susan and is the loving father of Juana and Evan born in 2014. The couple was blessed with a second set of twins, Jake and Luke, in 2016.
#4 He is truly Malayalam’s favourite sidekick: Within a short span of time, Aju played the essential supporting role in over 100 films. Starting from Thattathin Marayathu to the many recent Nivin Pauly hits including Hey Jude, the actor has become a true contender against the likes of Jagapathy Sreekumar and Salim Kumar.
