Akshay Kumar Starrer Bell Bottom’s Release Date Pushed Further; Movie To Hit The Screens On This Date!

Last week turned out to be a delight for many movie buffs as a handful of production houses announced the release date of their much-anticipated films. From Ranveer Singh’s ’83 to superstar Akshay Kumar-led period film Prithviraj., many projects were announced with new release dates. Well, among many others, Akshay Kumar is one of those actors, whose releases are scheduled back-to-back. And, in the recent development of his upcoming project, Bell Bottom, the release date of the film has been pushed further ahead. Yes! you read it right. The film, which was scheduled to release in April, has gotten a new release date.

For the unversed, Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Bell Bottom will also feature Vaani Kapoor, Huma Quereshi and Lara Dutta. The film was earlier slated to hit the theatres on April 2, 2021. However, the makers have decided to push its release date to May.

Though it’s not clear yet, online reports are suggesting that the makers of Akshay Kumar’s another big film, Sooryavanshi, are planning to give it a Holi release. And, if both films release at the same time, their businesses will get affected. And, to avoid any sort of clash between both the movies, Bell Bottom will now release on May 28.

Bell Bottom producer Jackky Bhagnani took to his  Twitter handle to share the new update. On the other hand, the announcement regarding the release date of Sooryavanshi is still awaited. Interestingly, the Rohit Shetty directorial will also feature Katrina Kaif opposite Kumar. Singham actor Ajay Devgn and Simmba star Ranveer Singh will also play a cameo in this action-drama.

Talking about Bell Bottom, the spy-thriller, directed by Ranjit Tiwari, was one of the first Bollywood films to resume production amid the global pandemic.

As mentioned above, the release date of Akshay Kumar’s Prithviraj was also announced last week. The upcoming film, which will mark the debut of Miss World Manshi Chillar in Bollywood, will release during Diwali i.e November 5. It will be a biopic of 11th-century ruler Prithviraj Chauhan.
