Amid facing a legal notice and censure for the movie’s title, the makers decided to change it. It was considered disrespectful to Goddess Laxmi and had hurt the sentiments of the Hindu community who called out for its ban. Initially titled Laxmmi Bomb, the movie is now all set to release as Laxmii. Directed by Raghava Lawrence, this comedy horror flick is the remake of the director’s own Tamil flick Kanchana. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the movie will stream digitally from Monday, November 9.
