‘All Too Well(10 Min.)’ by Taylor Swift reveals why Gyllenhaal blamed his breakup on age gap difference
Hollywood“You said if we had been closer in age, maybe it would have been fine,” Taylor sings in the single All Too Well, revealing that Jake blamed the relationship’s collapse on the significant age disparity
Taylor Swift’s fan-favourite song from Red, “All Too Well,” is about her split from Jake Gyllenhaal, and she published the entire, original version of the song for the first time on Red (Taylor’s Version). The song is more than ten minutes long and has been requested by Taylor’s fans for years. Taylor explains more about what occurred when she and Jake broke up in some of the new lyrics. The two dated for a few months in 2010 and were 10 years apart in age.
“You said if we had been closer in age, maybe it would have been fine,” Taylor sings in the single All Too Well, revealing that Jake blamed the relationship’s collapse on the significant age disparity. “I’ll get older, but your lovers stay my age,” she sang in another verse, referring to the actor’s continued dating of younger women following their separation.
Taylor also implied that she and Jake rekindled their romance after their breakup, only to discover it was never meant to be. “And there we are again when no one needed to know,” she sings. “You kept me like a secret, but I kept you like an oath.” “Sacred prayer and we swear we remember it all too well,”

Taylor’s second re-recorded and publicly released album is Red. She released a new edition of Fearless earlier this year, which included six new tracks that had never been heard before. We’ve also heard Taylor’s cover of the 1989 song “Wildest Dreams.” Taylor, on the other hand, has not stated when the whole re-recorded version of 1989 would be published.
Taylor will also re-record the three previous albums for which she no longer owns the masters: Speak Now, Taylor Swift, and Reputation, in addition these three. Taylor already has her three most recent albums, Lover, Folklore, and Evermore, which were all recorded under her new record company.
